Oakland A's Proposal for Stadium at Howard Terminal

Oakland A's owner John Fisher has proposed a 35,000-capacity ballpark, 3,000 units of affordable housing, 1.5 million square feet of office space, 270,000 square feet of retail space, a 400-room hotel, an estimated $450 million in community benefits, and is asking the city of Oakland for $855 million in infrastructure improvements. However, this proposal poses huge problems for operations at the Port of Oakland, including the loss of thousands of jobs.
